Sir William de Botevile
The son of Sir Geoffrey Botevile, William was born in 1217.

Sir John de Botevile
The son of Sir William Botevile, John was born in about 1250. One of his sons was Thomas Botevile and the line continues below. In fact he had six sons altogether. Another of these was Walter de Botevile who married Alice, probably in Botevyle in 1314. Walter and Alice were the progenitors of the line that eventually changed their name to Thynne.

Thomas Botevile
The son of Sir John Botevile, Thomas was born in about 1290. He later married Sabilla.

Richard Botevyle
The son of Sir Thomas Botevile (alias Botevyle) and his wife Sabilla, Richard was born in 1326.

Thomas Botevyle
The son of Richard Botevyle, born sometime before 1365.

John Botevyle (senior)
The son of Thomas Botevyle, born in Stretton, Shropshire, in 1383. He married Joan in 1409.

John Botevyle (junior)
The son of John Botevyle (senior), born in 1410.

William Botevyle
The son of John Botevyle (junior), born in 1440. In 1479 he married Joyce Sankey. William was therefore the 6th great-grandson of Sir Geoffrey Botevyle.
